The first series of memories was the suspended objects series.
Exploring how an object sits in our minds and can evoke such feelings of time, place, smell and even sound from deep within us.
40 x 60 inches. Lustre photo paper
A satin lustre fine art photo paper.
- Our lustre photo paper is a premium photographic stock with a satin finish, favoured by professional photographers. Its subtle, pearl-like texture adds depth, while supporting deeper colour saturation than most.
- All of our fine art photo prints are made using Giclée printing – the gold standard used by museums and galleries worldwide. Pigment-based archival inks deliver smoother gradients, richer colour depth and long-lasting brilliance that won’t fade when displayed indoors

The Story Behind This Collection
Series 1 - Suspended - Exhibited 2012 Edmund Pearce Gallery - Melbourne Australia.
Suspended Objects is Michael Miller's exploration of how a single object can anchor us to another time and place. Suspended against a black void, each object exists in isolation - yet carries within it the weight of memory: the smell of a room, the sound of a moment, the feeling of being somewhere else entirely.
These images explore memory in its clearest form - present, accessible, and seemingly untouched by time.

About the Artist
Michael Miller's practice centres on the abstraction of reality - using a hybrid of photographic techniques across multiple disciplines to create an emotional connection with the viewer. His work inhabits a realm of deliberate ambiguity, where he believes an intangible beauty resides: visually poetic, artful rather than merely documentary.
Michael has exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra, the Head On Portrait Prize, the Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize at the NSW State Library, and at the BBA Gallery Berlin. He was voted Australia's Top Emerging Art Photographer by Capture Magazine in 2018, and has been recognised with awards from the IPA, PX3, and D&AD, among others.
