Shifting Presence

Shifting Presence is an ongoing body of work exploring how we navigate change throughout our lives.

Using a vessel-like form as a metaphor for the self, the series examines the ways we adapt, connect, separate, evolve and search for stability. Repeated throughout the work, the form becomes a visual language through which ideas of identity, relationships and personal transformation are explored.

The images exist in a space between abstraction and representation, inviting viewers to recognise something of their own experience within them. While the forms themselves remain constant, their interactions continually change — reflecting the way we move through the world, shaped by time, circumstance and human connection.
